Uncertainties

26 April 2009 - I participated in the First Aid Quiz organized by St John Ambulance headquarters today. Nothing special at all, we managed to kick out AMC in the first match and thus enable us to qualified to the finals with 2 other teams - Anderson and Ayer Tawar. Anderson get Silver whereas Ayer Tawar grabbed the Gold. Zero trophies for us. 'Us' = Wong Yoong Xiang, Fong Teik Sum, Eric Ewe Yow Choong, Wong Joe Hang & Me. By the way, congrats to cadet team who get Bronze.

Yesterday I saw the horoscope reading in my friendster. It says that I should not start any relationship if Im not reading, Im just wasting my time. Then today = With all the uncertainty in your life now, you need to seek the comfort of home. Maybe Im not clear what Im doing right now. Sorry for disturbing! I will try to be more rational and stop the childish thing in me.

Seriously, I hate those fella who always emotional (EMO) and talk bout the world's going to end or something like that. Sometimes I feel like Im quite near to that situation. I hate that part in me, that why Im changing now, I don't like the me who was in primary school. I want to be me right now.

SPM. My mom keep on bugging me to study hard. June holidays is coming, Two 4 days 3 nights camp in 2 weeks time. I have to stop all my St John activities.... SPM SPM SPM!? Go to hell!

LOST!!!

18 April 2008 - On the way to school, still sms-ing Joe Hang. Arrive school, realised my phone missing. Call my dad who fetched me there immediately. My mom at home answered it. I called my phone again. No reponse. 1 hour later - confirmed lost!

Its Accomplished!

18 April 2009 - Today was the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for St John Ambulance of my school. Reached school super-early to prepare for my last meeting as an EXCO. Luckily the slide show for AGM can be viewed in the lecture theatre. The AGM officially started at 9.00am. Each and every EXCOs give out their respective reports and review for the term 2008/2009. I was waiting for this moments to come, to handover to the new board. 5 years is how long I have became a St John member, and this is the time! I believe that the new EXCO board can do a better job to improve the division, a greater teamwork in managing the members. Nothing much, view the photos below for a full review.

3 For Hardwork, Cooperation and Sacrifice

9 April 2009 - The last Annual Sports Day for me. Our class, 5sc4 have been training hard for this sports day event which ended at 1.00pm today. 5sc4 was lead by the class monitor, Lee Kar Heng and followed by the cooperative students in it. Our class was rewarded for our hardwork with a 3rd place for this inter-class marching among the form fives.

Overall, we were not aiming for 1st place as there were other classes which better than us. Special thanks to my following friends who ensure 5sc4 a 3rd placing:

Lee Kar Heng - The self-sacrificing, best monitor among the classes. He lead the class with his superb voice in shouting commands, organize the students and patience in bringing up the name of 5sc4. The only form 5 class who have the banners 'WE SEE' and 'WE CONQUER' thanks to him.

Karavin - Although he seems to be playful sometimes, but he showed his class spirit when he offer himself to buy the black GIORDANO™ tee shirt for all the students as our class shirt.

Beh Peng Cheng & Vincent Tang - Thanks for the wonderful yet amazing formation. Both of them contributed in designing and organizing our class formation.

Chow Swee Kwan - The one and only who design and paint our class flag. Designed by, painted by and edited by him.

Last but not least, ALL 5sc4 students who came for this glorious and meaningful Sports Day. Thank you.

So Close Yet So Far

5 April 2009 - The 53rd State-level Annual First Aid and Home Nursing Competition ended today, leaving its glory and memories for the year 2009. My school, SMK St Michael, Ipoh sent two teams, the Ambulance Cadet and Ambulance Adult for this competition. The two teams were as below: Ambulance Adult, A/A 5 :-
1) Wong Joe Hang
2) Wong Yoong Xiang
3) Kisor A/L Thaiala Rao
4) Fong Teik Sum
5) Cham Swee Wen

Ambulance Cadet, A/C 12 :-
1) Donivald Tham Kam Loy
2) Yoong Lip Zhang
3) Teoh Jia Heng
4) Lim Boon Kong
5) Justin Lui Tet Yoon

The performance of the adult team was good and surprising. I myself who recorded their footdrill session was stunned by their amazing performance. Unfortunately, other teams in and around Perak were better and thus, zero trophies for their footdrill. The adult team's short case and long case was satisfactory. Seriously, their performance is way better than area-level competition. From what I observed, they have the confidence to win and at last, bronze for both their short and long cases.
Cadet team was not so disappointing after all. Their leader, Donivald Tham raise the impression of their team with his voice in their footdrill session. A stunning Silver was awarded for their footdrill and uniform checking. Short case was quite good, coordination and teamwork surpass most of the teams. Long case, hmm... it was funny. There was a casualty lying unconsciously, they found the medication, they put the medication inside the casualty mouth. Ahem, is this competition or real case situation? I doubt myself.

Since there will be only 1 team selected to enter the national-level competition in KL, both Adult and Cadet Teams did not make it. It was not because they are weak or unable to perform well, but mainly due to the more-experience teams who were slightly better than them. Congratulations and well done from the bottom of my heart. So guys, you have tried your best, you have made your alma mater proud, shout it out and loud

Dream? - Reality!

Although it looks normal and nothing unusual to other country, but for the people in the country, it symbolized success for their hopeful prayers. ''

15 March 2009 - The Annual First Aid and Home Nursing Competition for area level started yesterday. St Michael's Institution was sending two teams for the long-awaited competition, the Ambulance Cadet (A/C 12) and Ambulance Adult(A/A 5). High hopes were put on them as the Ambulance Cadet team was not up to standard and did not qualify for state level in the past 2 years. The Ambulance Adult team (Wong Joe Hang, Wong Yoong Xiang, Kisor A/L Thaiala Rao, Fong Teik Sum, Cham Swee Wen) and Ambulance Cadet team (Donivald Tham Kam Loy, Yoong Lip Zhang, Teoh Jia Heng, Lim Boon Kong, Justin Lui Tet Yoon) performed well during the competition.

The prize giving and closing ceremony was officially ended at approximately 1.30pm. The result for the competition is as below:

Footdrill and Uniform Checking: Bronze
Short Case: Silver

7 March 2009 - 6 March 2008 is the day where he turns 17 this year. We bought a so call Teddy Bear for Beh. Celebrated at K-Box as usual. Nothing much, 生日快樂!

March Test 2009

5 March 2009 - I am alive, after the whole week struggling for exam and revising without heart beat. That is basically what exam can do to me. The overall results? Well, yet to know. But this exam really tested my skills although it did not follow the exam format. Comments:

Bahasa Melayu (BM)- Difficulty: 3/10. Expected Marks: 70/100
The BM paper was quite easy to go through as it did not came out exactly like the SPM paper. With only an essay and a few subjective questions, I would tell honestly that it did not meet up the standard I expected. Who was the teacher who prepare it? hmm..
Sejarah- Difficulty: 7/10. Expected Marks: 60/100
Sejarah paper was difficult as usual. With loads of facts to remember and stuff in the eleventh hour, I will not expect to get a good result out of it. Buck up!
English- Difficulty: 2/10. Expected Marks: 75/100
15 small kids objective questions and a few kindergarten subjective question? No comments..
Mathematics- Difficulty: 5/10. Expected Marks: 75/100
Mathematics is as tricky as u do. Facing with just a few minor problems, I will expect my marks to get at least an A2. At least those are just simple questions compared to SPM. It was like a sleeping lion just waiting for you to shoot. One shot, bingo. Once miss, Merry Christmas!
Physics- Difficulty: 2/10. Expected Marks: 80/100
With only Form 5 chaper 1 in test, what can I say? I will be sorry for myself if I did not get the marks I expected.
Additional Mathematics- Difficulty: 8/10. Expected Marks: 90/100
I admit it was a very challenging and difficult paper of all ages. Thanks for my tution teacher(<- read, not school teacher), I managed to cope with all the SPM-type questions. I was expecting a perfect score for that particular paper. Chemistry- Difficulty: 10/10. Expected Marks: 40/100
Definitely, it was not the best among the rest, but a pest among the rest. It ruined my exam mood (crying). I was expecting it to be focusing on Form 5 chapter 1, but the paper set by Pn. Thevanei denied it. I feel gutted with myself...
Biology- Difficulty: 7/10. Expected Marks: 60/100
Alas, I did not expect it to be so tricky and headache. Maybe it was the weather, or maybe it was me. Nobody were to blame for it except for myself. Buck up and hunt down the A next time!
Pendidikan Moral- Difficulty: 4/10. Expected Marks: 70/100
It is not a problem when I can memorize all the nilai for this paper. But it is a problem when I can't do so. I did not manage to memorize the 36 nilai altogether. With 3 out of 4 questions that I know, 70 marks is what I expecting.

Mission - Failed

14 February 2009 - Finally, I have done my first oral assessment for English! The assessment was assessed by Cik Siti Noraisyah. It was special and deserved to be posted on my blog because it was a group work. Together with Alan Beh, Vincent Tang and Soon Zheng Foong, I have to admit that we did not show the 120% of ourselves. The starting part was quite satisfactory if I were to exclude Zheng Foong's tiny voice. But when it came to the middle part of the conversation, we screwed it up! With no coordination among ourselves, I can't imagine what kind of presentation that we were showing to the class compared to Teik Sum's group.

Their group managed to memorize and present their assessment spontaneously and fluently. As to my group, we still need to depends on cue-cuts. I were to be blamed. I could not lead my friends well and this makes me feel like a defeat in the assessment. Maybe some of you will think that it is just an oral, what is so special about it? Just finish it fast and get back to your seat. NO, it represented us! Our ability to conduct and present it well reflects our reputation. Just felt uneasy and unsatisfied. After all the practices and saying...

Depending on what kind of music it is, some music can be rock, noisy, harmony, loving, and sometimes irritating or will boost up your adrenaline. Basically, this is a review of songs that are dominating my playlist. Considering how eclectic my music taste is, look forward to a wide range of sound, some you may like or some you may plain hate. Comments: This song has a high pitch in the chorus and this excites me. David Archuleta manages to present this song to the fullest, which most of the artists do not. It is indeed one of my favourite tracks. I will give a 4.5 out of 5 stars for this track.

Comments: This song can be emotional and suits ones who is in deep feeling of sadness. Depending on when you listen to it, this song may be best when you listen it when you are alone. Although I am not a big fans of The Script, but this song really deserves a 4 out of 5 stars.

Comments: This song has a sense of sadness in the background. It was filmed partially in black and white and starts with a church bell. This song is about being happy with what you have in life, and not obsessing over what you don't have.
