SPM - Full Coverage

Tuesday, December 8, 2009
8 December 2009 - SPM is finally over, gone, disappeared, vanished, out of sight, down, cleared! I can't imagine it ended so fast, too fast that I did not even realise it ended today. Right after the last paper, an empty feeling suddenly striked my mind.

'' This is the last day of schooling where you will be wearing your school uniform ''

To make things simpler, I decided to break down my post to 5 main parts. Viewer discretion is advised to prevent any eye-sore or time-consuming for this long-winded post of mine.

The Cancerian Personality
Only by that time a smile scratch my face as I walked passed the heavenly stairs towards the ground floor. I did not even grab the chance to bit farewell to some of my teachers, teachers that really care for the students and hope that they will excel in the respective subjects. And now here am I missing them for some of their boring lessons which will be more interesting if I would have pay more attention to them. The end of secondary life means no more wearing green pants, no more childish act, no more care-free attitute maybe, and most importantly, no more Sejarah!

SPM Showdown
I am quite happy at the beginning of this exam when I saw the first karangan question which the topic is so wide and so many points to write about. This indicates that my exam have a very good start and probably definitely will have a good end for it. It proves me right today. Not to say that I'm confident on my subjects or I'm basically too good to score, but at least I have gone through the papers smoothly and thank god because I did not miss any of the papers. That's one of the reasons why I promised myself to accept whatever result that will be coming out next March.

If you were to ask me again how many subjects I was taking, I will tell you the same answer again and again. Compared to most of my friends from other schools, I can be considered taking the least subject for SPM - 9. It's the school system, don't ask me. It is most probably because the number of subjects are not important but the subjects themselves are vital to determine your direction after SPM. What's the use of taking 20 subjects with all those easy-to-score Islamic subjects that are similiar to one another? Furthermore, 10 subjects are the limit for those taking SPM starting from next year.

Its has been more than 5 times since I dreamt about my SPM. The condition inside the hall, the result day, and the most terrible one - how I missed two of my papers in one day. BM and Mathematics were on the same day in my fantasy world. And I keep on blaming my friends for not reminding me, my parents who doesn't realise my exam date. I was struggling to call the school office to ask whether the exam can be replaced to some other date or not. Of cause they can't, because the whole nation start and end at the same time. I'm glad that I have woke up from those terrible nightmares. This shows that I'm so irresponsible, careless, naive, and being irrational in my dream land. However, it is vice versa and does not affect me throughout the 4 long weeks in reality.

Okay okay. Let's back to the topic. Everyone were so tension and some of them almost crack their skulls at the beginning of the exam. However, situation was getting better as time passes and the pressure was less applied to them. For me, it's just the same and every papers count. I can't afford to distract my attention to elsewhere and crying over the spilt milk later. I am quite satisfied because I have done my best, unlike my trial results which is an eye-sore.

What am I aiming for my results? Surprisingly I did not target or expect any A's in my result after my trial results disappointed me. That's why I have set a new aim, that is...
Aim: Pass all my subjects
Condition: With flying colours
Irony: You either know or doesn't know what it means

The Next Chapter
The 2-year SPM syllabus which is not easy to cover up has reached its finale here. What have you learned or wasted in this 2 short years is all sum up. I firmly believe that the result day is the judgment day. There will be total fairness. So what's my plan after SPM? Most probably will be studying form 6 in my alma mater unless my matriculation application succeed. After that? Waste no time and pursue my studies to local college, or maybe somewhere else.

Simple Plan
While waiting for my result, I decided to relax for the month to be jolly and maybe find some work elsewhere to utilize my time effeciently. It is going to be a long time until next March to decide my fate. Undang test, driving license? All cramped out in my tiny brain all at the same time. Hang out with friends? Holidays with family? It's all going to be packed up this month. So I need to be doing something useful and not to waste my precious time.

Golden Words
Whoever or whatever you are, thanks for reading my long-winded extraordinary blog post of the month. I like to blog about almost everything or every event that comes into my life. This will serve as a diary for me to glance back in the far future. For those who have yet to take your SPM or going to engage to it next year, you still have a long way to go. The main element for my principle is very simple, just pay 100% to the lesssons in school and you will definitely not going to lose out. Last-minute studying or burning midnight oil? you will gain nothing except for some headache and extra pressure in yourselves. That's all from this post, stay tuned for more updates @ ivantan5.blogspot.com

Half Time

Thursday, November 26, 2009
26 November 2009 - 6 down and 3 more to go. 2 long and tiring weeks have passed and 2 more challenging weeks to face. With only 3 science subjects left, my SPM is getting more and more exiciting!

The first week was the most stressful one. BM, English and Sejarah in 2 days. I was quite satisfied with my karangan for BM but the English essay that I wrote was below satisfactory level. I felt that I have not push myself enough for that particular subject. Sejarah paper 1 was not so tough and not so easy, 10+ mistakes. Fortunately, I managed to score in my essay part for paper 2.

Second week has just ended. If Add Maths was just a piece of cake, then Mathematics was just a portion of a piece of cake. I'm sure most of you will agree with me. However, Add Maths paper 2 was not so up to standard. The questions are all jumbled up and not following the orders according to the previous years. Quite tough for the first question, tricky for some questions and confusing for most of the questions. 80% of the candidates will be wiped out mercilessly. Moral was some so-so questions and there was not much trouble for it.

That's all for the half time match for the 4-week SPM. Pray hard for the subjects that have yet to come! TQ and Good Luck~

My sister's UPSR result

Friday, November 20, 2009
20 November 2009 - Despite being busy preparing for my SPM, i decided to post this news for you viewers.

Yesterday was the UPSR result day for my sister. I did not go to her school because I was having exam on the day. My parents and some of my relatives went there. When they reached, they saw her crying. My mom's first thought was which subjects did she failed that she have to cry so badly? But then it tells everything when she showed seven of her ten fingers.

She was overjoyed for her splendid result. For me, I did not expect her to get a string of A's but her results proved me wrong. You make us proud~

Congratulations and well done!

Form 5 Farewell

Saturday, November 7, 2009
3 November 2009 - The form 5 farewell ceremony was held today. The ceremony was just as simple as I thought. With Mr Ravindran as the organizing chairman, we were provided with food and drinks to make the ceremony looks meaningful.
Representatives from various colleges and universities were invited to brief the form 5 too. For my class, we have taken lots of pictures as memories in our beloved alma mater for 5 years.

Snapshot with my monitor, Kar Heng and Swee Kwan.

We even approached and asked our respective teachers to snap a few photos with us since it was the only day we were allowed to bring camera to school.

Mr Panirchelvam, Moral teacher

Pn Nor Hamisah, my Add Maths teacher and dedicated St John teacher advisor

Pn Shaw Wanni, Sejarah teacher. Some say she talks a lot.

My class teacher, Cik Siti Noraisyah. She's quite cheerful that day.

Nothing much to post about. I have been missing nice updates in my blog for months. The farewell reminded me about the 5 years of my schooling life. It really makes me and some of my friends changed from cheerful to moody on that day although we will be having classes as usual the next day. Presenting you the few from the luckiest person who managed to grab the chance to snap a shot with me.....

Teik Sum and Joe Hang, friends since form 1

Monitor of the Year, Lee Kar Heng!

Alan Beh, one of my best friends. Quite dangerous taking photo with bear

Tan Guo Sheng, some honest people used to call him 9 zai.

And some of them were crazy about taking photos with insane post to make the situation looks even out of control. We went to the pavilion to take millions of photos. Here are some of the photos...
Preparing for war - Bing Loon saluting, Swee Kwan posting whereas Kar Heng is the main tanker
The battle of the monitors, as you can see, both Chuah and Swee Kwan were terrified!
YOU FAIL! Mourn for Chuah for his lost in the war..

The V-Rangers

They thought they are cool but they are superb cold =)

When they felt there is not enough of those photos, they decided to snap a few harmonious pictures. Don't worry, they are not gays, they are just not too straight. Most ALL the victims below were tackled by Phang Yee Lim. Haha =D

Yee Lim with 1st victim, Eon Chen

2nd victim, Chuah Teong Hui

3rd victim, 9 zai..

Lastly, with a bear

There are still millions of photos which I can't upload all due to time constrain. So I have selected a few to be in my top 3 photo of the day list, they are....

3rd
Swee Kwan demonstrated his fantastic break-dancing skills and one of his fans managed to have a snap on it

2nd As a result of his failure to impress the 'fans'

AND THE PHOTO OF THE DAY GOES TO

Some short updates:

1) Sister drew a cartoon cute version of me and for me. Really appreciate and like that.

2) Mr Tan, my tuition Add Maths teacher said he will be having a mini 'food fair' next week as the last week for him to be with us. How touching..

3) Anonymous sent a message to me and claimed that he/she is a person who care for me but refused to reveil himself/herself. This is extremely untolerable and insane. How can I text a person which I don't even know? I told him/her off and feel sorry for her last message.

4) Khoy Wan requested me to jot down the news that, she laugh non-stop when I told her I can't find my way to toilet when I was form 1. How funny ^^

5) I am getting better for the departure of my beloved cousin =)

Death leads to Sorrow

Friday, October 30, 2009
30 October 2009 - Can't really willing to accept the fact that my cousin is dead. I can't imagine how a person feel when he passed away. However, I am sure that everyone around him will be in deep sorrow. That's the thing for sure.

Why people have to leave without saying goodbye? It will be one of the most cruelest thing for them to do before they emerge into another world. They are so selfish if you were to ask me. To have abandoned their parents and siblings... I believed they will be fine when time passes.

Now he has gone forever, leaving only good memories that can never be flushed away by tides of time. He also brought my study mood away as I've been absent from school for 3 consecutive days.. What else more can I say? He can be considered as my greatest cousin which I never realise when he's here...

Rise in Pressure

Friday, October 23, 2009

23 October 2009 - Less than a month until my SPM now. Anything can happen during SPM. Either you fail or pass to fulfill your expecations.

Am I prepared for it? NO I am not quite sure. Just hope that everything will be fine and smooth. I still have plenty of model papers and exercises waiting for me to explore. That's why I decided to spend lesser time for blog.

Good Luck for myself. Don't panic and make yourself tension because......

New Look For A Nice Change

Sunday, October 4, 2009
4 October 2009 - Aloha readers, I seems to be disappeared from the cyber space and abandoned my precious blog. It feels good to be able to blog again. Time passes quickly when you don't even realise it, it's October now. My SPM will be next month. My trial results were below satisfactory level. However, I believe major changes can take place in me myself within this short month, or I hope so. Therefore, I must work extremely hard and spending my time lesser in this cyber space in order to achieve my aim..

PEACE IN MY FANTASY

I like the new theme for my blog compared to my previous' Electro Fantasy. I am a bit superstitious if you were to ask me. But many things doesn't seem to go on smoothly this year. That's the reason I decided to dress my blog a new layout and grant her a new theme. Enjoy~

SPECIAL THANKS TO MY BELOVED CREATIVE AND INTELLIGENT SISTER:

The Joy

Wednesday, September 16, 2009
A smiley is reflected on the keys, double up the joy and not forgetting the harmonious music of the piano...

16 September 2009 - Go online, go blogging, go listening to your favourite tracks, go watch movie, go do whatever you dream of. That's the lifestyle right after the long 3 weeks trial, but not for long, it's just a temporary mind-relaxing way. 10 days holidays to study before trial, and 10 days to relax after the exam, what else can be better than that?

Okay, the review for the exam. First week was quite hectic, with 5 subjects on the line in the short 4 days. Tips were received by each and everyone in mass, not mess. Tips for sejarah, biology and every subjects. The most important thing is, all the tips are 80% accurate. So scoring in those subjects will not be a problem, or I think so..

Second week, two subjects consisting of add maths and biology. Add maths quite easy for me, biology is the probem. It's just either too hard or not easy for me to stuck the informations in my head. It's the problem of memorizing the facts. Third week, the last week of examination. Physics and chemistry, I studied according to the tips and almost all of it came out.

Today is the last day. And right after the exam, some of my buddies told me that we need to retake all the subjects because the question papers were all leaked out prior to the exam. So, whose fault is it? I even know that some tuition centers are selling trial papers for RM45 per set. Therefore, the irony is how the question papers managed to get into the students hand before the exam. The main reason is the teachers themselves. Some of the schools checked their papers early and those wonderful teachers sms-ed their cute students the question. And all the tips were spotted flying in and around Perak.

Last but not least, let me present u the schedule for my exam, I will post my results once I have collected all the marks =D

1 Sept 2009 - Bahasa Melayu 1 & 2
2 Sept 2009 - English 1 & 2, Sejarah 1
3 Sept 2009 - Sejarah 2, Pendidikan Moral
4 Sept 2009 - Mathematics 1& 2
_______________________________________
8 Sept 2009 - Additional Mathematics 1 & 2
10 Sept 2009 - Biology 1, 2 & 3

14 Sept 2009 - Physics 1, 2 & 3
16 Sept 2009 - Chemistry 1, 2 & 3

ME: Updated

Saturday, September 12, 2009
12 September 2009 - It has been 2 weeks since my trial started, and a short week left to end it. I will update it in my next post. I have been facing quite a lot of problems and worries for the past few weeks. As I have always said, I hate others to comment on my actions and behaviour, I never like it because negative comments will affect my performance mentally.

According to what my friend said, you just have to be what you are because it is what you are that determines who you are. Your personality, attitude, behaviour and everything is the criteria that reflects you yourselves. Change for the sake of others will makes you to be out of yourselves sometimes.

It is indeed true for the golden advice from my dear friend. However, I have my own opinion about it. When you change, it can be for better or even worse. Accept the fact that you must change to be a better person sometimes will help too. That's the reason why I never explain myself to anyone. Because the person who likes you doesn't need it, and the person who dislikes you won't believe it.

And for the person whom I've hurt
due to my stupid behaviour,
SORRY
is what I can express my apology...
