15 June 2010 - Exactly 3 days ago which is on the 12th, I attended a concert which they named it NowISee! Spiritual Revival Tour Concert. Since the admission was free, I called Chris Chow, Kin Ho and Joe Hang along to explore this event at Syuen Hotel. The event was scheduled to start at 7pm but we reached approximately an hour later.

Photobucket

The event was all in chinese and it was about Jesus and Christians. It taught us how to appreciate what we are having now and God's love towards each and every soul in this world. Although I'm not a big fan of Jesus, but I start to accept their culture and their religious view towards their God. Okay, enough of this. So when we entered the ballroom, someone was talking and not long after that, a group of people sang some nice songs on the stage.

 Photobucket

This was the emcee of the day. He was one of the singers too. And the photo below was one of the female singers too. Her voice was extremely sweet and sound or she can even considered herself to participate in the Astro Talent Quest next year. =)

The best part of the event was the sketch act by a group of 5 people. It was about a kid who have a rational thinking trying to stop the other 4 from day-dreaming and hallucinating. One of them was waiting for her lover to come which will never happen. The other one was showing her ping-pong ball ring to everyone and claimed that it was a diamond ring. The 3rd one was building a KLCC out of rubbish whereas the last one was wondering at street in lost of hope. The show woke us up from doing unrealistic things and highlighted the importance of having faith in yourselves.

.
The final part of the event was a talk by a local music producer. It took almost an hour for that particular talk. As expected, he talked about the importance in life and said that we should not run away from problems. Online games for example, bring the user to a fantasy world where they have the ability to compete with other players and to kill big bosses monsters. And when you turned the switch off... POP, it's just a blank screen in front of you. That's one of the reason I seldom touch online games nowadays compared to last time.

Okay, let's present you the photo of the day~

Photobucket

Yea, it was me being interviewed after the event ended. I was wondering will the video be uploaded soon..

Starwalk 2010

Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Photobucket

6 June 2010 - Woke up super early on this day, actually not considered early also, just slightly earlier than schooling day. Went along with Yee Lim, Joe Hang and my younger sister. After that, we were planning to fetch Vizent along. However, he refuse to go with the excuse very tired and can't wake up. Derr, we were already talking on the phone and he still say can't wake up and very tired. Nevermind, we forgive him.

Met the Brother Bear and Haw Tung before the walk started. Then all of us went into separated ways except for Haw Tung and me. Both of us walk together till the end. Yee Lim and Joe Hang reached earlier than us as expected.. because both of them were running all the time. =_=''

The closing ceremony was held beside the Stadium Indera Mulia as it was under renovation according to the emcee. As expected, the lucky draw numbers are indeed lucky to the winners. I noticed the disappointed face of Bear when the ceremony ended. LOL

CONGRATULATIONS
TO
TAN XINH GUAN
for getting 24th placing in the Mens Open category

Before the prize-giving ceremony, he showed me the 41st position cards which indicated that he was the 41st person to completed the walk. However, 17 persons ahead of him were disqualified due to certain reasons. Congratulations once again~ =)

Form 6 Orientation Week

Sunday, May 16, 2010
16 May 2010 - So, I made it to form 6 eventually. I'm gonna blog about the long and tiring orientation week for this post. The first 3 days was quite boring if you were to ask me. After registration, we were directed into the hall and were given talks by those moderators and Penolong Kanan such as Pn. Tan Cheng Choo, Mr Karu and Mr Chong. Childish ice-breaking games were then intorduced to all the lower six students.
Photobucket
3 boring days passed. At least there's some activities that lighten up the day a little. We were divided into classes! Bear and Haw Tung were assigned to LSS2 whereas Yee Lim was assigned to LSA3 along with Sze Ngou. I think he was quite happy for that? I was assigned to LSS4 as I'm choosing Biology. Kar Heng, Tan Kian, Xinh Guan, Mark Ooi and some michaelians were there with me too. I'm grateful for that I admit. Joe Hang was quite down for going into LSS5. He said that no one was there to accompany him.

Miss Ling Lidi (spelling correct?) will be my class teacher and my MUET teacher for this year. I don't know what's wrong with her. I raised up my hand when she asked who are the michaelians last year. She was shocked and said that she never see me before. I mean... what's wrong mann? There are so many students in St Michael's and she told me that she never see me before? =_='' Nevermind, I forgive her.
Photobucket
Friday's the last day of the week. All the subject teachers entered the class and introduced themselves. Pn. Fairoz will be my Pengajian Am teacher. Hong Wei told me if I'm not going for tuition for this subject, I will fail badly. Mr Paul's my Maths T teacher. Pn. Choong, the teacher that I dislike so far, will be teaching me chemistry. She's arrogant and stubborn. She told us that if we followed her lesson with full attention, then tuition is not required. She even asked us whether she looks fierce or not? A loud YES was my reply and she was looking to Mark who was sitting beside me that day. LOL! The one who has yet to show up is my Biology teacher, rumours said that Mr Liew Boon Ket will be teaching my class. It will be great if it's true.

For the overall, I personally felt that the class is lacking of something. Something which I have it last year but it disappeared completely this year. Maybe it's my confidence, maybe its the way I present myself, maybe it's because I'm separated from my close friends, maybe and maybe... I don't know. JPA JPA, when are you showing up?

My DiGi Job

Sunday, May 9, 2010
9 May 2010 - Gosh, my blog has been missing updates. With no interesting activities happen recently, I decided to post about my digi part time job for the whole 5 months since I've been working in January. Initially, I worked alone for the first week. Yee Lim and Joe Hang joined me later in mid-January.

Photobucket

We travelled everywhere for almost all digi roadshow, so there's no fixed place where we worked. Selling normal sim packs for the locals was the most boring roadshow of all. They were ignorant and most of them already have their own numbers so they don't even bother to look or listen to us. Migrants market was interesting. They came like a swarm of bee and wipe out all the sim packs. Unexpected right?

Photobucket

Raymond and David Ong are the current leader for D&U Distributor, the digi company I've been working for. They drive their van almost everyday, everywhere and few times a day to set up roadshows. Places that are far from Ipoh such as Teluk Intan, Ayer Tawar, Sitiawan were common places where roadshows were being set up.

Photobucket

However, there are some places near Ipoh which were worth working such as Menglembu and Silibin pasar malam, Shen Jai High School, Kampar UTAR, Keris College, Gunung Rapat, Pengkalan and many more. These places does not require much travelling time.

Photobucket

It was quite fun to work with friends actually, especially there were no strict rules to follow. We just need to wear our digi or broadband shirt along with jeans. Promoting skills can be trained too. This gives us more confidence in communicating and understanding our customers. I admit that sometimes it was quite frustrating and tiring to work in distant places but as time passes, I treat it as an eye-opening experience for me to explore places which I will never go for nothing.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Kar Ming joined us for just once for Simpang Pulai roadshow before he worked in Kenny Rogers. After chinese new year, Haw Tung joined us too. So, the 4 of us have been working together for quite some time.

Photobucket

Photos taking are common. They have to submit those photos to digi center for reports. Besides setting up umbrella and tables, we have to wear those sandwich can man costumes to give away balloons and free pop-corns to anyone who passed by. We called those costumes rubbish bin, its the same as what Haw Tung's wearing in the photo above. LOL

Photobucket

Photobucket

Throughout my working life, I've met quite a number of strangers who later became friends. Travelling, travelling and travelling. I will never get boring from those travellings. Vizent worked with me once in Kampar. We were in shortage of promoters that time so I called up him. Katherine was the one who called me for work everytime. I think I've updated about her in my previous post for her simple birthday celebration.

Photobucket

Last but not least, Wai Hoong joined me just 3 days before I quit my job to further my studies in form 6. We worked in Casuarina Hotel along with Katherine for international players market. Players from China, Pakistan, Egypt, Australia, Korea and India were staying there for their 19th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup competition for hockey. It was the best working place as we only sell sim packs for them to use throughout their 10-day competition. They were extremely friendly compared to those Malaysian players. It was indeed a pleasure to meet them in real although I'm not a big fan of hockey. That's all for this post. Thanks for reading =)

State Competition - Day 1

Monday, April 26, 2010
26 April 2010 - The 2-day state competition ended yesterday. Actually I should be going as a spectator but I ended up being a steward for the cadet team. Nevermind, here are some updates for day 1 of the competition.
Photobucket
Registration started as early as 10am. Then it was speech by Sir Kevin Peter. Stretcher Drill or Kawad Usungan will be implemented from new year onwards, so our division was selected to demonstrate it.
Photobucket
It was taught by Yoong Xiang's dad, Mr Wong Seng Kin. He said the main reason of implementing this was because some of the members don't even know how to transport the casualty using stretcher during events or duties.
Photobucket
This drill is mainly for the Ambulance Adult and Cadet team as the nursing are not going to be involved.
Photobucket
There were many members and outsiders recording and snapping photos. At least 5 to 8 were recording the whole process. Too bad for those who didn't record.
Photobucket
After written test and uniform checking was footdrill session. 3 teams for the adult category whereas 6 teams for the cadet. Our division's performance was not so bad after all.
Photobucket
5pm concluded day 1 and we went back to La Salle center after that.

KL Trip

Wednesday, April 21, 2010
Photobucket
21 April 2010 - Last week, I followed my family to KL leaving my younger sister in Ipoh (too bad she has to attend school, kesian..). We reached my aunt house on Thursday and overnight there as not much activities were planned. The day I wished to highlight was the second day in KL. Since my aunt gotta go Singapore that day, we woke up super early to stay at my dad's room @ One World Hotel because he had to attend some kind of seminar there, so my sister and I spent hours in the room before going for a shopping spree at 1Utama.
Photobucket
Had our breaskfast at Sakae Sushi. It was nicer compared to Sushi King in Ipoh.
Photobucket
Monitor screen to order our sushi directly to the kitchen. So advanced~
Photobucket
Their unagi is so delicious, totally different with Sushi King's unagi.
Photobucket
Tamago also fresher, YUMMY egg! And my main dish was....
Photobucket
Yea, teriyaki ramen! Super nice but the ramen is too less for me =_=''
Photobucket
My sister and I visited the Action City shop again. There was not much action in the shop through except for the giant Domokun which is my sister's favourite. Don't look at the price tag if you have a weak heart!
Photobucket
After that, my sister's friends joined in and have drinks in some nearby kopitiam. Almost 2 hours sitting there like a nerd looking and listening them gossiping bout their life. Walked for approximately 6 hours! OMG, it's 6 hours.. bloody tired after that. Mom called around 6pm at told us their seminar has finally ended. Joined them and headed back to Ipoh after that... And the photo of the post is...
Photobucket
MOM and ME!

Sushi Bonanza!

Friday, April 16, 2010
Photobucket
15 April 2010 - 3 days ago, I went to Jusco along with Wai Hoong, Yee Lim, Joe Hang, Hong Tat and Kin Ho. We were there for the sushi bonanza which cost us RM2 per plate for those sushi. It's only for Sushi King members so as a loyal member of his majesty, Wai Hoong volunteered to treat us ^_^
Photobucket
Not bad also, although those sushi were not as tasty as Sakae, but it's worth it since they were having promotion. Less than 100 bucks for 6 persons.
Photobucket
Sushi King is smart. Only those rice-based sushi were cheap.
Photobucket
Not much photos were snapped because I was busy eating and cleaning the kaiten belt but failed. After that, we went to watch Being Human by the famous singaporean director, Jack Neo, who had an affair months ago and last but not least, KBOX!

饭可以唔吃 !但是K唔可以唔唱 !

Goodtimes Steamboat Gathering

Thursday, April 1, 2010
Photobucket
31 March 2010 - Well, this gathering is considered as a late post because it was held on 15th March which is 2 weeks back. The main reason was I've waited Eon to upload the group photo because my camera's battery has exhausted earlier than expected. LOL! Let's see, we managed to gather up to 12 persons in a table. Not bad..
Photobucket
We came at 7pm and started eating around 7.20pm. The latest to arrive was Mr Tan Xinh Guan. I've only selected those shots with my friends in it to be posted here. The first photo here are Swee Kwan and Kar Ming with their 'PEACE' sign~
Photobucket
The next photo is Joe Hang and Vincent. Look properly and you will notice Vincent without his cap. I've posted those photo of him without cap in Facebook and tagged him but he removed all the tags. =_=''
Photobucket
Next, Guo Sheng and his Shew Ping. They were there for a few moment because they were rushing to Yeolde English for their candlelight dinner since its Shew Ping's birthday that day. I bet everyone will agree with me for putting the caption of 'MR DOG & MS PIGGY'. =)
Photobucket
After this was Teik Sum, Haw Tung and Kar Ming. See the photo after this.
Photobucket
Haiz.. under 18 of age please skip this photo. Actually they were used to it since schooling time but they were not so fortunate like this time to have me snapped it! Sorry Teik Sum, Sorry Haw Tung and Sorry Kar Ming for posting this.
Photobucket
Next was Xinh Guan, Eon and Swee Kwan. Xinh Guan told me he will be going for form 6 whereas Eon is currently studying for accouting in Sunway College, Ipoh and Swee Kwan went for NS without saying babai to me. =_=''
Photobucket
Finally, the 4 persons that have their own personality described on the photo. Agree or totally agree?
Photobucket
And the main photo for this post is...
Photobucket
YES! Name and call it whatever you want =)
